Our History

Our history began in the earliest days of commercial Internet access. In 1996 we began opperations by offering dialup access to the Internet and basic web and email hosting. Quick growth led us to become a Competitve Telephone Company (CLEC) so we could offer high-speed broadband services an telephone services. By 2008 our services had expanded to include IT support and coud services. Additionally we provide hosted phone systems, VOIP and on-site phone systems.

From the beginning our focus has been to provide the best customer support possible and the newest technology available.

We take pride in our core network infrastructure! We have been developing and expanding our core network since our inception in 1996. We have 18 years of experience building and maintaining the best regional network in Maryland. Ongoing investment means we're using the latest technology and can stay ahead of the demands of a growing customer base.

All of our routing equipment is of the highest quality, coming from companies such as Zhone, Ciena, Juniper and Cisco. We use multiple transit providers and provide redundant links and equipment to prevent any downtime. All of our routing and server equipment is NEBS 3 compliant which means we completely meet the highest standards from Bellcore and can withstand environmental extremes. What this means for our clients is that our network and the data on it is housed in the best available equipment. Our data center also fully meets NEBS 3 compliance so you can be sure our network is housed in a safe and secure environment that far exceeds most other data centers.

Automatic systems constantly monitor our entire network, transit links and servers. In the event of any problem, we have a team of core engineers who are on call 24 hours a day. They are notified automatically by e-mail, SMS text messages and telephone of any problems that occur. Systems are backed up with battery systems and generators to avoid problems in the event of power failures.
